How to update firmware

(These instructions are for updating an iomixer board that is already running an existing version of the firmware. If you made your own board you will need to flash the bootloader first, for that see this YouTube video. )
  1. Download the appropriate firmware file from here.
  2. Place the downloaded file in the same location as the relay server was started from.
  3. With the iomixer connected to the configurator, in the 'Device' panel under 'Firmware', click on 'Enter bootloader mode'.
  4. Check that it now shows up as 'iomixer bootloader'. The blue status LED will also flash twice every few seconds.
  5. Select the file to be flashed from the pull-down list and click "Flash firmware".
  6. After flashing has finished, click 'Enter normal mode'. Check the new version in the 'Device' panel.

(The above instructions are relevant to the latest version of the firmware and bootloader. For older versions, you might have to unplug and re-plug the board instead of just clicking 'Enter bootloader mode' etc.)

(Changes below are in conjunction with new bootloader v0.1.2)
- Fixed USB class (eg. gamepad, MIDI) sometimes resetting to default (VCP only) after reboot
- Both bootloader and main app can now soft-reboot via configurator (no power cycle necessary)
- Fixed USB MIDI messages not being sent from device if USB cable was connected after power up
- Fixed warning icon showing on 'Audio device' in Windows device manager when running as VCP+MIDI

- Log input node: value type 'Field' option separated into float/color/int32 options
- serial number in USB descriptor now includes suffix like -C, -CG, -CM to differentiate same device running with different USB class (VCP, VCP+gamepad, VCP+midi etc). This helps Windows to apply the correct device drivers after switching between USB classes.
